The University Library provides access to Sage Business Cases, a collection of interdisciplinary business cases, as well as Sage Business Data Decisions, a resource designed to teach students how to evaluate and use data to make strategic business recommendations.
The teaching notes for these cases and data challenges typically include a case or challenge summary, teaching objectives, target audience, suggested teaching strategies, assignment guides, and suggested answers to discussion questions. Although the cases and data challenges are open to all affiliated users, teaching notes are locked for faculty or instructor use.
To access the teaching notes, you must first create a Sage Business profile. To do so, ensure you are on the Sage Business landing page, then click on My Profile, Create My Profile, and fill out the form with your name, email address, University Affiliation, Job role, and any subjects of interest.
Once you’ve registered, you will have the option to tick the box(es) next to “Business Cases Instructor Access” and “Business Data Decisions Instructor Access” after which you will be prompted for a Verification Code. To get this code, please email ertech@library.illinois.edu. Once the verification codes have been entered, scroll down and select Save. After you’ve saved the verification codes in your profile, you will be able to view teaching notes in Sage Business Cases and Sage Business Data Decisions.
Please note: a majority of cases (over 80%) include teaching notes, and all data challenges include teaching notes.
