When current UIUC affiliates travel to other institutions, they may have secure wireless internet access via eduroam.  According to their website, eduroam “is a secure wireless network service that allows faculty, staff, and students to use their home institution's wireless credentials to access wireless networks when visiting other eduroam participating institutions.  Eduroam eliminates the need for a guest account.”

Eduroam is available at over 3,300 locations in the US, and more than 38,000 in over 100 countries.

See the Technology Services Wi-Fi Help, eduroam page for details and instructions.
