Some errors in My Account (where you create your library account) are related to your library account number. This guide on how to set up your account shows how to create an account, as well as how to change the library account number (or borrower ID) you have.

Where you can find the number:

  • Students, staff, and faculty – on your i-card after the word Library. It is not your UIN, and your library account is not connected to any other university account or record.
  • Courtesy card holders – printed beneath the barcode on your courtesy card.
  • I-Share Users - assigned by your institution and usually appears on your university ID card.

If you have recently gotten a new i-card the number might not be activated yet. If you continue to get the error after entering the number, contact Central Access Services.
