Sometimes My Account (where you create your library account) will not let you create a new account because of your library account number.

Where you can find the number:

  • Students, staff, and faculty – on your i-card after the word Library. It is not your UIN, and your library account is not connected to any other university account or record.
  • Courtesy card holders – printed beneath the barcode on your courtesy card.
  • I-Share Users - assigned by your institution and usually appears on your university ID card.

If you have recently gotten a new i-card the number might not be activated yet. If you continue to get the error after entering the number, contact Central Access Services.
