Google Scholar is a free search engine that searches for physical and digital copies of scholarly materials. It also provides direct access to articles if they are free online, and it can link to library resources.

However, a database may be a better choice to do research with than Google Scholar. Databases allow you to search within a particular discipline and has many ways of filtering through and limiting results.

For more information check out this library guide on Google Scholar.
