First, you need a template. You can use one of University of Illinois templates, find a template online, or create your own on PowerPoint.

On your poster you should put a catchy title and then your thesis/hypothesis. Then you should include your methodology, research questions, observations, themes, data, images and citations. Add some interesting quotes to your poster and don't forget to thank the people who have helped you with your project. Try and be creative about your poster and go beyond simply what your paper says, this is your opportunity to be creative and visually show your work. Lastly, when in doubt keep it simple.
