For a complete list of software available around campus, please use this downloadable Software Directory, provided by the Undergraduate Library Media Commons. For software in labs not in this list, please use the ATLAS list of software and the Engineering Workstations Labs list of software. Technology Services has a list of computer labs around campus, with further information about what is available at each lab.
Between 5 p.m. and 4 a.m. Monday through Friday and noon to 4 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, patrons can remotely access ACES computers, which have SPSS, ArcGIS, and other specialty software. More information can be found at the ACES Academic Computing site.

For free Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software, you can try Paperfile or Online OCR.
