For recent S&P 500 p/e ratios go to Standard & Poorks Dow Jones Indices

For up-to-date and historical S&P 500 p/e ratios use Bloomberg, available in the Margolis Market Information Lab (MIL) at the Business Instructional Facility (BIF).

  • For a table, type SPX hit the Index key, then type HE and hit GO
  • For a graph, type SPX hit the Index key, then type GE and hit GO

Historical S&P p/e data can also be found in the print book: Standard and Poor's Analysts' Handbook (call number 332.63 St24a). More recent issues can be found under the same call number in the Main Stacks.
